Introduction

Hello my name is Monique, and this is my introductory blog post. 😄

I decided for my Media Studies course, to create a magazine that entitles a cover, contents page, and a double spread. Although working with a group of members, projects have individuality and will be submitting my own cover page, contents and double spread page however with a similar style to my team members.

To create this piece i am following this criteria:

• Main task: the front page, contents and double-page spread of a new magazine (if done as a group task, each member of the group to produce an individual edition of the magazine, following the same house style). There should be a maximum of four members to a group.
•  All images and text used in the main task will be original with a minimum of four images 
• This task should be preceded by preliminary exercises to build up skills with equipment and understanding of conventions. 

Preliminary exercise:

• using an image manipulation program, Photoshop, create an outline structure of the front and contents page of the magazine. The photograph on the front page will contain an image in a close up with an appropriate layout that features the main topic and content that the magazine holds.
