Good morning,
In order to begin my magazine conventions I have conducted some research on what the magazine cover should entail. This gives me an idea of the way to set up the cover of my magazine
Cover contents:
Masthead: The title of the magazine, usually catches the attention of the reader.
Central Image: The image used on the cover that should grab the reader's attention.
Color Scheme: The different colors used on the magazine cover.
Header: Usually a line on top of the cover that gives the reader more information of what will be inside the magazine.
Edition: Lets the reader know when the magazine was published and does not obstruct with the view.
Spread: A story that takes more than one page inside the magazine.
Caption: The text under an image that describes it.
Cover-line: Describes what information will be inside the magazine.
Menu: List of the contents of the magazine.
Barcode: Usually being in a corner.
Cover Model: The picture on the front page typically a model or celebrity or an important object to the magazine.
