I have conducted some research on how to attract people towards my magazine through its looks and its contents. There are a few tips that I have come across to create an intriguing magazine. Who is your audience?
- Teens, children, adults, influencer's, businesses, etc.
What is your audience into? (Know your audience).
- Sports, beauty, etc. This can be determined based on the characteristics of your audience such as age, sex, education level, parental status, etc.
Does it have offers?
- Is there anything beneficial in the magazine for the audience. Begin with your lead, showing the importance of the magazine and its contents.
These questions asked,when putting together will help me target the correct audience and help to determine the type of content i should produce.
How this research helped me decide my topic?
- I decided for my magazine to do a beauty magazine as my audience is to target teenage girls. Girls in today's society after conducting a survey, are more interested in reading fashion or beauty rather than sports, technology or the environment. My magazine will offer specials that beauty supply stores such as Sephora, Mac, Morpe and even Walgreens have to offer. I am also planning to include beauty hacks and tips to enhance your skin.
