Cover Page Design Analysis and Comparison

           VS.          

In both of these images, I attempted to create a masthead that would give a different style than one of  a typical magazine. In the image to the left,  I like the color and the design however, I believe that it is taking to much away from the model on the cover.

I prefer the style of he masthead on the image on the right because it is not the typial magazine and doesn't take away from the model itself. I prefer the color of the font to be of the first image on the right however the final design image using this model looks better on the left.

To create these images I used photoshop to create the masthead. I also used the blur tool to blur the background to focus mainly on the face of the model as it would contain some beauty and skin care tips inside. 

     VS.

Using this model, the colors are pretty bright therefore, I would leave the cover plain with the masthead and barcode. The image on the left has the words in large bold letters on the side. I prefer this design on this model because the high fashion of the model can be seen to the full extent. I also like the scenery of the image.

The image on the right is also a well organized masthead however it covers the face of the model and could be distracting. Howeve the bold ettering makes it easier to see in teh contrast of the light. This is the ideal style of a masthead in a magazine yet has its own unique color and font style

These images were also created through photoshop using the elimination and blur tool to rid of the excessive objects in the background that may have been distracting and take away from the fashion and beauty of the model.

   VS.

Both of these images were created the same with the same design. In the case of this design, the model is wearing a plain outfit therefore I would place some captions of the contents in the magazine on the cover. I prefer the subtle red color over the bright royal blue.
