In the previous blog we discussed female representation in magazine however there has been evolution in male involvement in the fashion magazine.
Male Gender Representation
In magazines it is quite uncommon to see males on the cover of fashion or beauty ones. However as the world has opened up and became more diverse, the typical magazine cover is no longer typical. However there is still a stereotype shown within these covers. They are fit white men typically in their middle ages. They are also represented serious. These stereotypes, similar to women, caused a line of products to be created that could create this stereotypical look in anyone else. By doing this and creating this line of products it is not promoting or showing a sense of originality but rather getting society to only act as the stereotype.
